"An image is worth a thousand words

but a great photograph can speak ten thousand words"

Creative by nature. Designer by qualification. Photographer by passion.

I love to capture wild and spectacular scenes and events, and I crave drama in an environment to evoke the most creative images possible. Landscape photography inspires me and is my passion. I enjoy trying to apply the same dedication employed capturing beautiful natural scenes to my other photographic interests, weddings, product photography and events.

Photography forms a part of my daily life. Either exploring with my trusty Nikon, photographing scenes with my day-to-day pocket camera RX-100 or just grabbing some fun shots on my iPhone. I love taking photos, capturing moments and creating great images. My site functions as a place to showcase some of my favourite images from my growing collection and act as a portal to my other images on the web, flickr and instagram. It also provides a place for you to get in touch if you like what I do and want to talk about a print or shoot.

I have been taking photos for just over a decade. First picking up a [digital] camera (Sony dsc-p32) when I was 15 and loving what I could capture. I went on to win a national photography competition and following the creativity that photography allowed me, I followed it to study industrial design in I.T.S and N.C.A.D where I would learn other creative skills to form an understanding spanning many creative media. Having been taking photos since 2005, being immersed in a pure creative environment in art college for 5 years and working with some of the best wedding photographers in Ireland, I have honed a creative photographic eye and enjoy training and sharpening my focus with every project.

Growing up in Boyle, Co. Roscommon touching the edge of the Atlantic West, the wild landscape quickly became my inspiration shortly after picking up a camera. Surrounded by rural beauty from Lough Key Forest Park to Arigna to the mountains around Sligo, beautiful coastlines and unique sunsets, I wanted to record everything. This was the start of a passion that inspired me to become a creative professional for which I studied industrial design in university and integrated photography with every creative project I undertook. Having started Curve and Stayhold with the guys photography has found it's place at the moment as my creative hobby which includes my love of landscapes, clients jobs that interest me and a few weddings here and there.
